Biography
Mark Smith is a guitarist, keyboardist and composer. He is a member of the American post-rock band Explosions in the Sky, formed in Austin, Texas, in 1999, alongside Chris Hrasky, Michael James and Munaf Rayani.
The band has composed original scores and performed theme music for several films and series. Their credits include Lone Survivor (2013), Manglehorn (2015) and American Primeval (2025), the latter a Netflix miniseries directed by Peter Berg with whom they had previously collaborated.
