Biography

Mark Swift is a British film producer at DreamWorks Animation. Born in Bearwood, West Midlands, and raised in Birmingham, he studied economics at Manchester University. He began his career in 1988 as a runner on Who Framed Roger Rabbit before working as an assistant production manager at Amblimation from 1989 to 1995. He joined DreamWorks Animation after its founding, serving as production supervisor on The Prince of Egypt (1998) and production manager on The Road to El Dorado (2000).

Swift's producing credits began with associate producer on Shark Tale (2004) and full producer on the short The Madagascar Penguins in a Christmas Caper (2005). He received his first feature producer credit on Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa (2008), alongside Mireille Soria, and went on to produce Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted (2012) and Penguins of Madagascar (2014). Other notable productions include Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie (2017), The Croods: A New Age (2020) and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (2022). He is producing Forgotten Island (2026). Swift received an Academy Award nomination for Best Animated Feature Film for Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.
