Biography
Martin Gregor (born Martin Guttmann) was a Slovak actor. Born in Trnava in 1906, he died in Bratislava in 1982. He was primarily a stage actor and one of the founding figures of professional Slovak theatre, creating around 190 roles over fifty years. He also appeared regularly on radio and in film and television.
Gregor played Jozef Katz in the 1965 film The Shop on Main Street. Other screen credits include roles in Vlcie diery (1948), Transport z raja (1962), Jánošík (1963) and Dny zrady (1973). He also directed a small number of television productions.
