Biography
Martin Lisemore was a British television producer. He was educated at Abingdon School and Hardye's School, Dorchester, and rose through the ranks of the BBC drama department before becoming a producer in the late 1960s.
He specialised in period drama adaptations, including Jude the Obscure (1971), Sense and Sensibility (1971), Emma (1972), Bel Ami (1971), The Pallisers (1974), How Green Was My Valley (1975–76) and I, Claudius (1976). The latter won BAFTA and Emmy awards. He often worked with script editor Betty Willingale.
Lisemore was married to actress Sarah Lisemore. He died in a road accident in 1977 while producing Murder Most English.
