Biography
Martin Olson is an American comedy writer, television producer, author and composer. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, he was an original member of the Boston comedy scene and began writing for comedians in the 1970s before moving to Los Angeles.
He served as head writer for the first season of the Disney animated series Phineas and Ferb (2007) and contributed as writer and songwriter across many episodes. Olson was also a staff writer on Rocko's Modern Life (1993–1996) for all four seasons and later worked on Milo Murphy's Law (2016). He has received six Emmy nominations, five for television writing and one for songwriting, as well as an Ace Award for television writing.
Olson is the father of actress and writer Olivia Olson, who voices Vanessa Doofenshmirtz on Phineas and Ferb and has collaborated with him on the series.
