Biography
Martín Zimmerman is an American playwright and television writer. He graduated summa cum laude from Duke University with a BS in theatre studies and economics, and later earned an MFA in playwriting from the University of Texas at Austin.
He is known for his work on the Netflix series Ozark (2017–2022), where he wrote episodes and served as supervising producer, and as creator and writer of the Spanish-language series Puerta 7 (2020). His other television credits include staff writing on Narcos (2015) and writing an episode of Surface (2022). Zimmerman has also written plays including On the Exhale (2017).
He has received Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Drama Series for his work on Ozark.
