Biography
Mary Barclay (20 July 1916 – 19 February 2008) was an English actress who worked in film, television and theatre. Born Mary Biddulph in Williton, Somerset, she read Classics at Cambridge University, where she earned a double first, and later trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
She appeared as Martha Thompson in the 1973 film A Touch of Class. Barclay was also known for playing Stella Dane in the television series Crossroads in the 1960s. Her other credits include roles in Secret Army, Steptoe and Son, The Revolutionary (1970) and Sex and the Other Woman (1972).
