Biography
Masami Tanaka is a Japanese production designer and art director. She has worked on a range of Japanese and international film and television productions, often in art department roles on projects filmed in Japan.
Her credits as art director include Earthquake Bird (2019), The Third Murder (2017) and Air Doll (2009). She has served as production designer on films including Ha-Chan, Shake Your Booty! (2026), Utakata (2023), Pornographer the Movie: Playback (2021), Sakura (2020), Still Life of Memories (2018) and Yuki onna (2016). Additional work includes art direction on the Japan unit of Gran Turismo (2023) and episodes of the series Invasion (2021).
