Biography
Masanobu Takashima (高嶋政伸) is a Japanese film and television actor. He was born on 27 October 1966 in Tokyo and is the son of actors Tadao Takashima and Hanayo Sumi, and the younger brother of actor Masahiro Takashima. He attended Seijo University and made his screen debut in 1989.
Takashima is known for his role as Major Sho Kuroki in Godzilla vs. Biollante (1989), for which he received the Newcomer of the Year award at the Japan Academy Awards. Other film credits include Godzilla: Final Wars (2004), Infection (2004), Death Note: L Change the World (2008), Assassination Classroom (2015), Howling Village (2020), We Couldn't Become Adults (2021) and Demon City (2025). His television work includes lead roles in series such as Hotel and appearances in NHK taiga dramas.
He has been active since 1989.
