Biography
Matthew Chauncey is an American screenwriter and producer. He began his television career as a production assistant on the ABC series Agent Carter (2015–2016) and later worked as a staff writer on the animated series 3Below: Tales of Arcadia (2018–2019).
Chauncey joined Marvel Studios as a story editor on the first season of the animated anthology series What If...? (2021), for which he also received writing, story and teleplay credits. He contributed teleplays to the miniseries Ms. Marvel (2022) and additional literary material to the feature films Thor: Love and Thunder (2022) and The Fantastic Four: First Steps (2025). He has served as a consulting producer on Ms. Marvel and Eyes of Wakanda (2025), and as a writer and executive producer on X-Men '97.
In 2022 he created and executive-produced the podcast series Self Center.
