Biography
Matthew Compton is a composer and musician. He is one half of the duo Electric Guest with Asa Taccone; their debut album was produced by Danger Mouse. Compton has also written for and performed with artists including Charlotte Gainsbourg, Cold War Kids, The Pierces, Cursive, Flea and Har Mar Superstar.
His film scores include Palm Springs (2020), Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping (2016), MacGruber (2010), The Last Stop in Yuma County (2024), Into the Deep (2022) and Better Start Running (2018). He is scoring Over Your Dead Body (2026). Television credits include work for Saturday Night Live, The Simpsons and American Dad.
