Biography
Matthew Kerr is a writer and script department professional working in television comedy. He studied screenwriting at the University of Southern California, with an emphasis on comedy television writing.
He began his career in entry-level writers’ room roles, serving as writers’ assistant on the second season of Ted Lasso (2021) and on Clone High (2023–2024). He received his first writing credits on single episodes of Clone High (2024) and the series Rooster (2026), on which he also worked as script coordinator. He is the son of Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr.
