Biography
Matthias Königswieser is an Austrian cinematographer. Born in Vienna in 1981, he studied at the Academy of Art in San Francisco from 2001 to 2005. He began working as a director of photography on features after earlier camera assisting and short films, with his first credited feature-length project the 2010 television film Santa Cruz.
Königswieser has maintained a long collaboration with director Marc Forster. Their joint credits include All I See Is You (2017), Christopher Robin (2018), A Man Called Otto (2022) and White Bird (2023). He is also known for After the Fall (2014) and Perfect (2019). He is a member of the Austrian Association of Cinematographers (AAC).
