Biography
Mattie Edwards (1866–1944) was an American actress. Born in New York, she performed in vaudeville theatre shows and early silent film productions from the late 1880s through the 1930s.
She appeared in films including Within Our Gates (1920), in which she played Jasper's Wife, and The Brute (1920), both directed by Oscar Micheaux. Later credits include Give Us This Night (1936) as Elena and Champagne Waltz (1937). Edwards was married to Edward Settle.
