Biography
Maude George (1888–1963) was an American actress of the silent film era. She appeared in around 59 films from 1915 to 1929, most often with Universal, and was frequently cast as aristocratic or sophisticated women.
She collaborated several times with director Erich von Stroheim, playing Princess Olga Petchnikoff in Foolish Wives (1922) and Princess Maria in The Wedding March (1928). Earlier she had worked on the stage and wrote the scenario for The Fighting Gringo (1917). She did not appear in sound films.
