Biography
Maurice King was an American film producer. He was one of the three King brothers (with Frank and Herman), who founded King Brothers Productions in 1941 after changing their surname from Kozinsky. The company produced a range of low-budget and independent films from the 1940s to the 1960s.
King produced Gun Crazy (1950), directed by Joseph H. Lewis. Other credits include Dillinger (1945), Gorgo (1961) as executive producer, and Return of the Gunfighter (1967). The brothers were noted for employing blacklisted writers during the Hollywood blacklist period.
He was born in New York City and died in Los Angeles.
