Biography
Max Berto was a French production designer and actor. Born on 11 March 1944 in Grenoble, he worked extensively in French cinema and television as a chef décorateur.
His credits include production design on Loulou (1980), Roberte (1979), Diesel (1985) and Cap Canaille (1983). He served as art director on Mr. Frost (1990) and contributed to later films such as Boesman and Lena (2000) and Suzanne (2006). Berto also appeared as an actor in several productions, including Roberte (1979) and Hôtel du Paradis (1986).
He died on 18 November 2013 in Paris.
