Biography
Max Ernst (1891–1976) was a German artist who also worked as an actor. He appeared as the Bandit Leader in the Hut in Luis Buñuel and Salvador Dalí's surrealist film L'Âge d'or (1930).
Born in Brühl, Germany, Ernst later lived in France and the United States. His other screen credits include an uncredited role in Dreams That Money Can Buy (1947) and work on shorts such as Maximiliana oder die widerrechtliche Ausübung der Astronomie (1966). He died in Paris, France.
