Biography
Max Hiller, also credited as Julius Wilhelm Max Hiller or Max W. Hiller, was a German stage and film actor. He began his theatre career in the 1910/11 season at the Stadttheater in Koblenz and performed in provincial theatres before the First World War. During and after the war he worked in Berlin, appearing on stage and in films from 1917.
Hiller is best known for his role as the bridegroom in F. W. Murnau’s The Last Laugh (1924). He appeared in more than thirty films between 1917 and 1948, often in small or uncredited parts, including A Man Wants to Get to Germany (1934) and Frau Sylvelin (1938).
