Biography
Max Parker was an American art director and production designer. He worked on more than 80 films between 1916 and 1947, spending much of his career at Warner Bros. studios.
His credits include art direction on The Public Enemy (1931), Night Nurse (1931), The Roaring Twenties (1939), Each Dawn I Die (1939), Arsenic and Old Lace (1944) and production design on Secret Beyond the Door (1947). He received an Academy Award nomination for best art direction for George Washington Slept Here (1942).
Parker was born on 12 July 1882 in Prescott, Arizona, and died on 8 July 1964 in Torrance, California. His daughter Sylvia married aircraft designer Jerry Vultee.
