Biography
Melissa Kirkendall is a producer and filmmaker. She began working in film and television productions in 2002 after a career owning live music venues in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. In 2012 she directed and produced the feature documentary Teen A Go Go about the 1960s garage rock scene.
Her producing credits include the 2017 ESPN 30 for 30 documentary What Carter Lost, the 2019 science-fiction film The Vast of Night (on which she also served as unit production manager), the 2021 action film Castle Falls as line producer, and the 2023 comedy-drama Accidental Texan. She has also directed and produced short documentaries, including the award-winning You Are Me & I Am You (2021). She is the founder of Little Village, Big Mountain.
