Biography
Melissa Kosar is an American television director. A Chicago native, she developed an interest in production after watching a behind-the-scenes documentary on the making of Back to the Future Part II during her seventh-grade technology class. She previously worked in camera and electrical departments on short films before directing.
Kosar has directed episodes of series including Abbott Elementary (2022–2023), The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers (2021–2022, on which she also served as co-executive producer for season two), American Housewife (2017–2021), The Goldbergs (2023), Black-ish (2020–2021), The Wonder Years (2023), Love, Victor (2022) and Life in Pieces (2015). She is a sibling collaborator in Kosar Alliance Entertainment LLC.
