Biography
Meltem Cumbul is a Turkish actress and acting teacher. She was born on 5 November 1969 in İzmir, Turkey, and graduated from the State Conservatory of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University.
Her film credits include the role of Selma in Head-On (2004), Filiz in Propaganda (1999) and Dünya in Lovelorn (2005). On television she has played Fatma Sultan in The Magnificent Century (2011) and appeared in Yılan Hikayesi (1999–2001). She has also performed in stage productions and musicals including Smokey Joe's Cafe and Taming of the Shrew.
Cumbul has received awards including the Golden Orange for Best Actress for Abdülhamit Düşerken (2003) and recognition at the Palm Springs International Film Festival. She studied with acting teacher Eric Morris in Los Angeles and teaches his method at Mimar Sinan University.
