Biography
Meredith Scardino is an American screenwriter, showrunner and producer. She began her career as an animator before moving into television writing, with early credits including Best Week Ever (2004) and Late Show with David Letterman (2005–2007).
She wrote for The Colbert Report (2008–2014), part of the team that won an Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Variety, Music, or Comedy Program in 2008, and later contributed to Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (2015–2019) as a writer and co-executive producer. Scardino created the comedy series Girls5eva (2021–2024) and has written episodes of Mr. Mayor (2021). She has received four Primetime Emmy Awards.
