Biography
Michael Armstrong is an English writer and director. Born on 24 July 1944 in Bolton, Lancashire, he trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
He wrote the screenplay for House of the Long Shadows (1983) and contributed uncredited rewrites to Lifeforce (1985). Other credits include the screenplay and direction of Mark of the Devil (1970), the screenplay for The Black Panther (1977), and episodes of the television series The Professionals (1977).
Armstrong directed the short film The Image (1969), which featured David Bowie in his first screen role.
