Biography
Michael Böllner (born 14 September 1958) is a German tax accountant and former child actor. He is known for playing Augustus Gloop in the 1971 film Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory.
Born and raised in Munich, Böllner was cast in the role while still at school; much of the film was shot in his hometown. He spoke little English during production. After a few minor roles on German television, he gave up acting at his father's insistence and trained as a tax accountant in Munich, where he later established his own practice.
