Biography
Michael Carmine (1959–1989) was an American actor. Born in Flatbush, Brooklyn, he graduated from the High School of Performing Arts at sixteen and studied acting at the California Institute of the Arts.
He began his career with an uncredited appearance in the 1977 film Rollercoaster and a speaking role in the television series Hill Street Blues. Carmine appeared in supporting parts in films including Scarface (1983), Band of the Hand (1986), batteries not included (1987) as Carlos, Leviathan (1989) and Longtime Companion (1989). On stage he performed in Broadway and Off-Broadway productions of Reinaldo Povod's Cuba and His Teddy Bear and created the role of Papo in La Puta Vida.
