Biography
Michael Elwyn (born Michael Bremner Emyrs Jones, 23 August 1942) is a Welsh actor. He was born in Pontypridd, Glamorgan, and has worked in film, television and theatre since the mid-1960s.
His film credits include A Touch of Class (1973), The French Lieutenant's Woman (1981), The Iron Lady (2011) and Shadow Man (2006). On television he has appeared in House of the Dragon (2022–2024) as Lord Simon Staunton, Robin Hood (2006–2007) as Sir Edward, Stella (2012–2017) as Ken, The Tudors (2007) and Coronation Street (2020) as Charles Moore. Stage work includes The Audience (2013) as Anthony Eden.
Elwyn was previously married to actress Naomi Buch. He has been the partner of actress Alison Steadman since the mid-1990s.
