Biography
Michael Fiedler is a German composer and musician based in Stuttgart. He specialises in experimental electronic music and film soundtracks, often incorporating field recordings and improvisation.
Fiedler co-composed the score for Sound of Falling (2025, also known as In die Sonne schauen), directed by Mascha Schilinski, alongside Eike Hosenfeld; the film premiered at Cannes and received a nomination for European Composer (Original Score). He previously contributed music as part of the duo Annagemina to Schilinski's Dark Blue Girl (2016) and has scored earlier shorts and features including Die Katze (2014).
Born in 1978 in Löbau, Fiedler has worked as a freelance producer and live performer since the late 1990s, collaborating on theatre, dance and installation projects.
