Biography
Michael Garfath is a British cinematographer. Born in 1944 in Willesden, Middlesex, England, he began his career in the camera department, working as a focus puller on films including Sorcerer (1977) and The Wilby Conspiracy (1975).
He moved into director of photography roles in the early 1980s. His credits include Squaring the Circle (1984), A Prayer for the Dying (1987), Nuns on the Run (1990), Croupier (1998) and I'll Sleep When I'm Dead (2003). He joined the British Society of Cinematographers in 1988 and retired in 2008.
