Biography
Michael Gruskoff is an American film producer. Born on 27 August 1935, he began his career in the mailroom of the William Morris Agency in New York before becoming an agent at Creative Management Associates in Los Angeles, where he represented actors including Dennis Hopper, Robert Redford and Steve McQueen.
He moved into production with executive producer credit on The Last Movie (1971) and producer credit on Silent Running (1972). Subsequent credits include Young Frankenstein (1974), Nosferatu the Vampyre (1979), My Favorite Year (1982), Article 99 (1992) and Prelude to a Kiss (1992). He served as executive producer on Quest for Fire (1981), for which he received a César Award.
Gruskoff later worked as an in-house producer and mentor at Industry Entertainment.
