Biography
Michael Mahoney is a Canadian producer. He began his career in 1971 in the distribution department of the National Film Board of Canada and later worked in the camera department as a camera assistant, director of photography, director and producer. In 1998 he founded Magic Rock Productions in Nova Scotia.
Mahoney has produced numerous television series and films, including the series FROM (2022–), The Mist (2017), Chapelwaite (2021) and Locke & Key (2022), as well as the films Books of Blood (2020) and Polaroid (2019). He has received two Gemini Awards, a Genie Award, two Primetime Emmy nominations, a Christopher Award and a Cine Golden Eagle.
