Biography
Chuan-cheng Tao is a Taiwanese actor, also credited as Michael Tao. He was born on 25 February 1946 in Taiwan.
He is known for his supporting role as Dada in Edward Yang's film Yi Yi (2000). Tao has appeared in numerous Taiwanese television series, including as Ho Cheng-Tang in Autumn's Concerto (2009–2010) and Wang Bai-Fu in Déjà vu (2019). His other credits include the defence secretary in Black & White Episode 1: The Dawn of Assault (2012) and supporting parts in films such as Weekend in Taipei (2024).
Tao has been married to Hsiao-Ping Ying since 1970 and they have three children.
