Biography
Michel Ruhl (2 February 1934 – 15 January 2022) was a French actor. He began his career in 1952 under the direction of Gérard Philipe and had his first major theatre role in a production of Long Day's Journey into Night at the Théâtre Hébertot in Paris. His film debut came in 1963 with Your Shadow is Mine.
Ruhl appeared in films including Nick Carter and Red Club (1965), The Toy (1976), La Menace (1977) and Wild Reeds (1994) as Monsieur Cassagne. He was also known for his voice work, including the role of Nestor in several The Adventures of Tintin adaptations, and for dubbing actors such as James Cromwell.
He gained recognition for his television role as Jean de Plessis-Vaudreuil in the series Au plaisir de Dieu.
