Biography
Michel Subor (born Mischa Subotzki; 2 February 1935 – 17 January 2022) was a French actor. He made his screen debut in the mid-1950s and appeared in Roger Vadim's La Bride sur le cou (1961). He provided the narration for François Truffaut's Jules and Jim (1962) and played Bruno Forestier in Jean-Luc Godard's Le Petit Soldat (1963).
Subor featured in Alfred Hitchcock's Topaz (1969). After working less frequently, he returned to prominence with Claire Denis, playing Commander Bruno Forestier in Beau Travail (2000) and appearing in her later films White Material (2010) and Bastards (2013). He died in Toulouse following a car accident.
