Biography
Michèle Moretti is a French actress born on 15 March 1940 in Paris. She began her career in the theatre in the early 1960s as a member of the Marc'O workshop, performing in productions such as Les Bargasses and Les Idôles alongside actors including Bulle Ogier and Valérie Lagrange.
She made her film debut in the late 1960s, appearing in works by directors including Jacques Rivette (L'Amour fou, 1969) and Marin Karmitz. Moretti is known for her role as Madame Alvarez in André Téchiné's Wild Reeds (1994), for which she received a César Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. She has continued to work in film and television, with later credits including The Names of Love (2010) and the series HIP - High Intellectual Potential (2021).
