Biography
Mick Gochanour, also known as Michael Gochanour, is an American film producer, director and composer. He has worked extensively with ABKCO Records since 1993 on film restorations and productions, particularly projects involving The Rolling Stones and Alejandro Jodorowsky.
He is credited as producer on El Topo (1970) and as associate producer and producer on The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus (1996). Other credits include directing The Rolling Stones: Charlie Is My Darling – Ireland 1965 (2012) and producing the Sam Cooke documentary Legend (2004).
Gochanour was born in Moline, Illinois, and studied film and music at Black Hawk College before moving to New York City in 1981. He has received Grammy Awards for his work on music video and historical album projects.
