Biography
Miguel Ángel Vivas is a Spanish film and television director and screenwriter. Born in Seville in 1974, he studied audiovisual communication at the Universidad Europea de Madrid and film direction at the ECAM (Escuela de Cinematografía y del Audiovisual de la Comunidad de Madrid).
He made his feature debut with Reflejos (2002) and gained international recognition with Secuestrados (2010). Subsequent films include Extinction (2015), Inside (2016), Tu hijo (2018) and Asedio (2023). He has also directed episodes of television series including Money Heist (2017), Mar de plástico (2016), Apaches (2017) and Vis a vis: El Oasis (2020). His later credits include Desaparecidos (2020) and La tregua (2025).
