Biography
Mikako Ichikawa is a Japanese actress and model born in Tokyo in 1978. She began modelling as an exclusive contract artist for the fashion magazine Olive in 1994 and later appeared in titles including CUTiE, Zipper and spoon. Her acting debut came in the 1998 short film How to Jujutsu, directed by Takashi Homma.
Ichikawa has appeared in films such as Blue (2002), Cutie Honey (2004), Memories of Matsuko (2006) and Shin Godzilla (2016), in which she played Hiromi Ogashira of the Ministry of the Environment. She won the Best Actress award at the 24th Moscow International Film Festival for Blue and the Mainichi Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for Shin Godzilla. Her older sister, Miwako Ichikawa, is also an actress and model.
