Biography
Michael Karasick is a cinematographer and director. Credited variously as Mike Karasick, Michael I. Karasick and Mike I. Karasick, he began in the camera and electrical department, working as gaffer and chief lighting technician on films such as Suicide Kings (1997), Bug (2007), Faster (2010), Easy A (2010) and Friends with Benefits (2011).
He later became director of photography on episodes of The Vampire Diaries (2013–2016) and directed two episodes of the series in 2016. Karasick has directed further episodes of Legacies and served as cinematographer on series including Dynasty, Stargirl, Monarch and True Lies.
