Biography
Miki Nakatani (中谷 美紀) is a Japanese actress and singer. She began her career in the early 1990s as a member of the girl group Sakurakko Club before focusing on acting, with an early television role in the drama Under the Same Roof.
She is known for her performances in the horror films Ring (1998), Rasen (1998) and Ring 2 (1999), in which she played Mai Takano. Other notable film roles include Nui in When the Last Sword Is Drawn (2003), Matsuko Kawajiri in Memories of Matsuko (2006) and the lead in Zero Focus (2009). She has received multiple Japan Academy Awards and other honours for her work.
Nakatani has also appeared in television series such as Keizoku (1999) and maintains an active music career, having released albums produced by Ryuichi Sakamoto.
