Biography
Miles Watkins is an American director, actor and producer. He trained at the University of Southern California film school, where he earned an MFA in Cinema in 1974, and received a directing fellowship from the American Film Institute.
Watkins directed episodes of several television series, including three episodes of L.A. Law (1990–1991), one episode of Northern Exposure (1991) and fifteen episodes of The Commish (1991–1995). He also acted in the films Dark Star (1974) and The Great Texas Dynamite Chase (1976). In 1991 he received the Scott Newman Drug Abuse Prevention Award for his direction of an episode of Life Goes On.
With his wife, the actor and teacher Jocelyn Jones, he co-founded The Jocelyn Jones Acting Studio in West Hollywood in 2009.
