Biography
Miranda Kwok is a Canadian screenwriter, actress and television producer. She trained at the Claude Watson School for the Arts in Toronto and earned an honours degree in philosophy and psychology from the University of Toronto before moving to Los Angeles.
Kwok began her career as an actress with guest roles including Kristen Shoop in ER (1994), Julie Liu in 7th Heaven (1996), Kwai-Ling Hong in Earth: Final Conflict (1997), Dominax in Charmed (1998) and appearances in Sanctuary (2008). She transitioned to writing and joined the staff of Spartacus: Blood and Sand (2010) as a writer, contributing episodes including 'Shadow Games'. She later wrote for The 100 (2017–2020) and created, wrote and served as showrunner and executive producer on The Cleaning Lady (2022–).
Kwok won the 2023 Gracie Award for Writer Scripted – Drama for The Cleaning Lady.
