Biography
Monica Johnson (also credited as Monica McGowan Johnson) was an American screenwriter. She began her career writing for television series including The Mary Tyler Moore Show (1973–1974) and Laverne & Shirley (1977–1982).
Johnson formed a long-term writing partnership with Albert Brooks. Their credits together include Real Life (1979), Modern Romance (1981), Lost in America (1985), The Scout (1994), Mother (1996) and The Muse (1999). She also wrote the screenplay for Jekyll and Hyde... Together Again (1982) with her brother Jerry Belson.
Johnson was born in Colorado in 1946 and died in Los Angeles in 2010.
