Biography
Mónica Toschi is an Argentine costume designer for film, theatre, ballet and opera. Born in 1954, she studied scenography and costume design with Gastón Breyer and Graciela Galán.
She began working in cinema in 1996 and has designed costumes for films including Nine Queens (2000), Géminis (2005), Aniceto (2008), La cámara oscura (2008), So Much Love to Give (2020) and Argentina, 1985 (2022). She has also created designs for numerous stage productions, particularly children's theatre by Hugo Midón, and for opera.
Toschi received the Premio Sur for best costume design for Aniceto in 2008 and the Premio Cóndor de Plata for La cámara oscura in 2009. She was awarded a Konex Diploma al Mérito for costume design in 2021.
