Biography
Monique Messine was a French actress and singer. She was born Monique Marguerite Alberte Vanwelsenaere on 2 April 1940 in Metz and died on 11 July 2003 in Guyancourt.
She began her screen career in 1961 with a role in Alex Joffé's Le Tracassin ou Les plaisirs de la ville. The following year she appeared as Elisabeth in Jean-Luc Godard's Vivre sa vie. She later worked with Roger Vadim on Le Vice et la Vertu (1963) and took roles in television, including an episode of Paul Temple (1971) and a guest appearance as a housekeeper in Highlander (1997). She also provided the voice of Nicolas in the children's series Bonne nuit les petits (1963–1966) and contributed to soundtracks.
