Biography
Morgan Kibby is an American composer, singer, songwriter and producer. Born Morgan Grace Kibby on 3 May 1984 in Utqiagvik, Alaska, she grew up in San Francisco, where she trained as a classical pianist, cellist and vocalist, performing with orchestras and the San Francisco Opera chorus. After graduating from the Lycée Français she joined the French electronic band M83 as a core member (2008–2015), contributing vocals, keyboards and songwriting, including to the platinum single "Midnight City". She previously fronted the band the Romanovs and has released solo work under the name White Sea.
Kibby began scoring films and television in 2015 with Eva Husson’s Bang Gang, which premiered at TIFF and won Best Original Score at Les Arcs European Film Festival. She attended the 2016 Sundance Composer Lab and has since composed for projects including Mothering Sunday (2021), The Watcher (2022), Tales of the Walking Dead (2022), Wilderness (2023), Grotesquerie (2024) and the Amazon series The Power (2023). Her score for Finding Emily (2026) is among her recent feature credits. She has also co-written and produced for artists including Panic! at the Disco, Harry Styles and Lady Gaga.
