Biography
Muzaffer Özdemir is a Turkish actor. He is known for his roles in films directed by Nuri Bilge Ceylan, including Deli Ahmet in The Small Town (1997), Muzaffer in Clouds of May (1999) and Mahmut in Distant (2002).
He studied geology engineering at Istanbul Technical University after moving to Istanbul in 1974. He made documentaries and took a small role in an earlier feature before working in building restoration. For his performance in Distant, he shared the Best Actor prize at the 2003 Cannes Film Festival with Mehmet Emin Toprak and received the Orhon Murat Arıburnu Award.
Özdemir directed, wrote and starred in the 2011 feature Home.
