Biography
Nikolay Sektimenko (also credited as Mykola Sektymenko or Nikolai Sektimenko) was a Soviet and Ukrainian actor. He was born on 23 January 1949 in Dniprodzerzhynsk (now Kamianske), Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, Ukrainian SSR, USSR, and died on 4 March 2007 in Kamianske, Ukraine.
He graduated from the Kyiv State Institute of Theatrical Art named after I. K. Karpenko-Karyi in 1972 and joined the Kyiv Film Studio named after O. P. Dovzhenko the same year. Sektimenko appeared in numerous Soviet films and television productions from the early 1970s onwards, including Zozulya s diplomom (1972) and Proval operatsii 'Bolshaya medveditsa' (1984). He is best known for his role as the collaborationist policeman Stas Gomenyuk in Larisa Shepitko’s The Ascent (1977).
He was married to actress Zoya Nedbay.
