Biography
Naďa Hejná (née Pietrová) was a Slovak actress. She was born on 6 October 1906 in Martin, Austria-Hungary (now Slovakia), and died on 7 February 1994 in Štiavnička, Slovakia. She performed with amateur groups in Banská Bystrica and was a member of the Slovak Chamber Theatre and the Theatre of the Slovak National Uprising. She remained active at the theatre in Martin until her retirement around 1980.
Hejná appeared in numerous Czechoslovak films and television productions, often in supporting roles. She is known for her performance as Kateřina, Kozlík's wife, in Marketa Lazarová (1967). Other credits include Pole neorané (1953), Dom na rozcestí (1959), Ružové sny (1977) and Oldřich a Božena (1984). She received the title of Merited Artist in 1964.
